These series of photos illustrate how the Mesobar, Lew Attachments and the Implant Prosthesis come together and function. 1 – A Metal Mesobar is cemented on top of dental implants as demonstrated on this model. 2/3/6 – The Implant Prosthesis sits on top of the Mesobar. Note: The Lew Attachments are not yet in the Prosthesis which allows us to view the Mesobar connection site. 4/5 – This shows the Lew Attachments and the Mesobar engaged without the Prosthesis in place. Note: this is the same location as seen in photos 2/3. 7 – This is a custom fit to the Prosthesis which allows for strength and rigidity. 8/9 – The Lew attachments are now shown in the Prosthesis in the patients mouth. The cemented Mesobar is underneath the Prosthesis. 8 – When the Lew attachment is in the “open” position the appliance can be removed to allow for cleaning of the implants and Mesobar. 9 – When it is in the “closed” position (flush against the appliance) it cannot be removed.
